Safe Sanctuaries

State Street UMC takes the safety and well-being of children and vulnerable individuals very seriously.  All volunteers and staff who work with children and youth must complete annual Safe Sanctuaries training before beginning their service. Face to face trainings are held in the fall each year. At other times, the interim training (see below) can be used.

Missionary Emergency Fund

Each year, our congregation allocates grants from the Missionary Emergency Fund, established by Major A.D. Reynolds in 1920. Projects and ministries funded by the Fund should propagate the Christian faith, function as charity or benevolence, or provide financial assistance to students or schools.

Look for the application under the “About” tab.

Weddings at SSUMC

A Christian wedding is one of the happiest and holiest moments in the lives of two Christian People. It is a service of worship focused on God – a service in which you join your lives together in the presence of and with the blessing of God. We would love for you to have your wedding at State Street.

Tobacco Policy

State Street United Methodist church is committed to providing a healthy, comfortable and productive environment for the members, constituents and staff of this facility. As part of this commitment, SSUMC has implemented a tobacco policy for the our campus facilities.
